Chosen

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. - 1 Peter 2:9.

  • Created for ministry (Ephesians 2:10)
  • Saved for ministry (2 Timothy 1:9)
  • Called into ministry (1 Peter 2:9-10)
  • Gifted for ministry (1 Peter 4:10)
  • Authorized for ministry (Matthew 28:18-20)
  • Commanded to minister (Matthew 20:26-28)
  • Prepared for ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12)
  • Needed for ministry (1 Corinthians 12:27)
  • Accountable for and rewarded according to his or her ministry (Colossians 3:23-24)

God shaped you for ministry.

The God of the universe shaped you uniquely to make a contribution in this world and the world to come.

God will support you in ministry.

There is no way you can fail in your mission unless you fail to accept the calling of ministry that comes with being a Jesus-one.

God will answer your questions.

Ask God how he wants you to contribute.
Ask Him how he wants to use the way he’s created you to uniquely serve him.
Ask God, “What kind of God-legacy do you want me to leave?”
Thank God you are among “the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you” (1 Peter 2:9 MSG).

Excruciating Pain

Excruciating Pain

Walk with me and work with me — watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly. (Matthew 11:29.)
Today, I remember why I had been extraordinarily watchful of my diet and why I had been exceptionally active in my exercise.

It was because I suffered an awful excruciating pain where I had to stop eating...

For three months... literally!

I remember the times when I smell the sweet smell of food, but I wasn't allowed to eat anything because it would trigger pain in my body.

Gall Stones

It was because I had gall stones. These gall stones were formed by my gall bladder, due to food that I enjoyed for a moment of pleasure.

I enjoyed fatty foods, and all unnecessary junk foods, thinking they would not bring me any harm since they are not considered poison...Until the day my stomach ache intensely.

I was brought to the hospital, and in it, I found out that it was the end of my happy days with food.

These excruciating pains were enough for me to be able to say "No" to eating junk foods and even those which are not junk but are not healthy for me after God has been gracious to heal me and allow me to keep my gall bladder.

But I guess, just like any human being, I easily forget like the Israelites.

I began to try and taste cheese again after a month that I had naturally flushed my gall stones.

Relapse

And now, after more than a year, It's embarrassing to admit that I have fallen back into my old way of eating. I forgot the diet that I had religiously followed right after I felt the pain.

I have missed all the exercises that I had carefully observed and resolved right after I got my eating privileges back to me.

Why do I have to wait, for myself to experience pain before I choose to live a healthy lifestyle?

Why can't I just choose to live a healthy lifestyle even if there are no outright consequences?

Why is it hard for me to say No to temporal pleasures of food, when I could easily say No to these when it is a matter of life and death situation.

Do I actually have to wait when it is too late before I change my ways?

I praise and thank God for always warning me.

Sadly, it had to take pain before I hear His Gentle voice.

I thank God that I realize through pain, how much He loves me and that He wants me to take care of my body the best way that I can -
Not mediocre way.

Not being complacent.

I thank God for making me realize before it is too late.

Kindly pray for me, that, despite my busy and hectic schedule, God will part the Red sea for me so that I could find time to go to the gym, which He has blessed me to be a member of.

I'm genuinely terribly sorry that I had to realize it now.

Kindly pray for my complete and total healing.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me. (Psalm 51:10)

Follow me

Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who follow our example. Philippians 3:17

Paul challenged the Philippians to pursue Christ-likeness by following his example.

He did not mean that they should copy everything he did, since he had just stated that he was not perfect. But he means that they should follow him as he focuses his life on being like Christ.

Paul could not tell them to read the Bible to see what Christ was like, since the Gospels might not yet be in circulation at that time. So he urged them to imitate him.

Paul's confidence to tell people to follow his example is a testimony to his character. Can you do the same?

Holiness and Faith

Holiness and Faith

In the pursuit of holiness, there would be times that we will be called to perform duties that appear unreasonable and absurd in an unbelieving world.

Obedience is the pathway to holiness.

A holy life is essential in an obedient life.
No one  can become holy without faith.

  • Faith is not only necessary to salvation, but also to live a life that is pleasing to God.
  • Faith enables us to claim the promises of God.

Faith enables us to obey the commands of God.

  • Faith enables us to obey when Obedience is costly.
  • Faith enables us to obey when Obedience seem unreasonable to the natural mind.

Obedience to the revealed will of God is often just as much a step of faith as claiming a promise of God.

Holiness is obedience to the will of God in whatever God directs.

Here I am I have come to do your will God- Hebrews 10:7

No one who is not prepared to obey God in every area of his life can pursue holiness.
Holiness calls us to obey God, even when that obedience is costly.
Holiness calls us to obey God, even when it requires deliberate sacrifice, even exposure to danger.

A Balanced Life

A Balanced Life

A balanced life is characterized by order, peace, and wholeness.
The life of Jesus is an excellent model concerning balance.
  • He never hurried.
  • He never had to play catch up, and
  • He was never taken by surprise.
Jesus managed His time well.

Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people. (Luke 2:52)

Each part of our life should get the right amount of time and effort at the right time.

This is not giving each part of our life the same amount of time, but giving each part the necessary allotment of time, that makes life balanced.

Trisha Claudine Sebastian with Beverly Jardine Santos
Throughout his life, Jesus was under constant pressure. Friend and enemy alike pursued him, but Jesus brought time under control. He is well rounded. He grew intellectually, physically, spiritually, and socially.

Does your life reflect a balance?
Do you make time for intellectual growth?

If you are too busy to read a book or engage in a study that stimulates the mind, you are too busy.

Do you make time for your physical health?

Many people burn out because of improper personal maintenance.
Take care of your physical self.

Do you make time for your relationship with God?
Do you feel too busy for prayer, Bible study, meditation, or devotions?
"Take time and know that I am God." Psalms 46:10:
Take time to be holy, speak with the Lord .
Do you make time for primary relationships?
Do you have enough time for your family, and friends?

Don't take yourself Seriously

But he's already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It's quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And
don't take yourself too seriously -

Take God seriously.

The Joy of Holiness

The Joy of Holiness

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy. (Romans 14:17)

God intends the Christian life to be a life of joy - not drudgery.

The idea that holiness is associated with a gloomy, self-sacrificing disposition is an exaggeration of the worst sort.

The idea that holiness is restricting is the worst parody. It is actually the opposite.

Only those who walk in holiness experience true joy.

Jesus said: "If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in His love. I have told you this so thy my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete." (John 15:10-11).

Obedience and Joy is Cause and effect.

Joy results from obedience.
Only those who are obedient who are pursuing holiness as a way of life will know the joy that comes from God.

It is not that His love is conditioned on our obedience, but our experience of His love is dependent on our obedience.

Let us therefore endure, by anticipating the joy of His reward. (Hebrews 12)

Don't Just Do Something

Trisha Claudine Sebastian in CCF Nxtgen Ministry's FUSE Retreat
Dont Just Do Something

Don't Just Do Something

We are a doing people.
We always want to be doing something.
Every now and then someone will exclaim,

"Don't just stand there, do something!"

In contrast, I think God is crying out to us,
"Don't just do something. Stand there! Enter a love relationship with Me. Get to know Me. Adjust your life to Me. Let Me love you and reveal Myself through you to a watching world."
A time will come when doing will be called for, but we cannot skip the relationship.

The relationship with God must come first.

No one is beyond the reach of God

Be a Light

Be a Light.

No one is beyond the Reach of God.

God loves everyone even our enemies just as much as He loves you and me.
For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another - Galatians 5:14-15.
When we are not motivated by love, we become critical of others.

We stop looking for good in them and see only their faults.

Soon the unity of believers is broken.

Remind yourself of Jesus' command to love others as you love yourself.

When you begin to feel critical of someone, make a list of that person's positive qualities.
If there are problems that need to be addressed, it is better to confront in love than to gossip.

Have you talked behind someone's back?
Have you focused on others' shortcomings instead of their strengths?

Can't Get Over You

Can't Get Over You

I love the way You love like no other
It's got nothing to do with anything that I do

Time and time again
You forgive me
So this time I choose
to stay here with You

Hold me
Pull me just a little bit closer
I don't wanna lose this moment
Your love has covered me

And now I can't get over You
I can't get over You
I can't get over You
I just can't get over You

Here in the arms of my Father
Only grace can be found
So I lay my fears down

Nothing is the same anymore
You've changed me from the inside out
Now my heart is beating and it's singing won't You...

Hold me
Pull me just a little bit closer
I don't wanna lose this moment
Your love has covered me

And now I can't get over You
I can't get over You
I can't get over You
I just can't get over You

I can't get over You

I can't get over the way
Your love stays the same, oh Lord
I can't get over the way
Your love stays the same

Even through the good and the bad times
You stay the same
So my song will remain

Lord...Hold me
Pull me just a little bit closer
I don't wanna lose this moment
Your love has covered me

And now I can't get over You
I can't get over You
I can't get over You
I just can't get over You

I can't get over You
I can't get over You
There's nothing I can't do
I just can't get over You

I can't get over You

All of Me

All of Me

Trisha Claudine Sebastian | CCF Nxtgen Ministry Special Events and Outreach Coordinator

Afraid to love something that could break
Could I move on if you were torn away?

And I'm so close to what I can't control

I can't give you half my heart

And pray He makes you whole

You're gonna have all of me
You're gonna have all of me
'Cause you're worth every falling tear
You're worth facing any fear

You're gonna know all my love

Even if it's not enough
Enough to mend our broken hearts
But giving you all of me is where I'll start

I won't let sadness steal you from my arms
I won't let pain keep you from my heart
I'll trade the fear of all that I could lose
For every moment, I share with you

You're gonna have all of me
You're gonna have all of me
'Cause you're worth every falling tear
You're worth facing any fear

You're gonna know all my love
Even if it's not enough
Enough to mend our broken hearts
But giving you all of me is where I'll start

Heaven brought you to this moment,
It's too wonderful to speak
You're worth all of me, you're worth all of me

So let me recklessly love you, even if I bleed

You're worth all of me, you're worth all of me

You're gonna have all of me
You're gonna have all of me
'Cause you're worth every falling tear
You're worth facing any fear

You're gonna know all my love
Even if it's not enough
Enough to mend our broken hearts
But giving you all of me is where I'll start

You're gonna have all of me
'Cause you're worth every falling tear
You're worth facing any fear

You're gonna know all my love
Even if it's not enough

Do not be afraid

Do not be Afraid

Trisha Claudine Sebastian | CCF Nxtgen Ministry Special Events and Outreach Coordinator

It’s all yours. All your life, no one will be able to hold out against you.

In the same way, I was with Moses, I’ll be with you.

I won’t give up on you; I won’t leave you.

Strength! Courage!

You are going to lead this people to inherit the land that I promised to give their ancestors.

Give it everything you have, heart and soul.

Make sure you carry out The Revelation that Moses commanded you, every bit of it.

Don’t get off track, either left or right, so as to make sure you get to where you’re going.

And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind.

Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it.

Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed.

Haven’t I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don’t be timid; don’t get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take.

(Joshua 1:9, MSG)

My Hope is in You

My Hope is In You

I meet with You and my soul sings out.
As your word throws doubt far away
I sing to You and my heart cries Holy!
Hallelujah Father, You're near
My hope is in You, Lord all the day long
I won't be shaken by drought or storm
A peace that passes understanding is my song and I sing
My hope is in You, Lord
I wait for You and my soul finds rest
In my selfishness, You show me grace
I worship You and my heart cries Glory
Hallelujah Father You're here!
My hope is in You, Lord all the day long
I won't be shaken by drought or storm
A peace that passes understanding is my song and I sing
My hope is in You, Lord
I will wait on You
You are my refuge
I will wait on You
You are my refuge
I will wait on You
You are my refuge
I will wait on You
You are my refuge
My hope is in You, Lord all the day long
I won't be shaken by drought or storm
My hope is in You, Lord all the day long
I won't be shaken by drought or storm
A peace that passes understanding is my song and I sing
My hope is in You, Lord
My hope is in You, Lord yeah
My hope is in You, Lord

Be wise

James 3:16 MSG

Do you want to be counted wise, to build a reputation for wisdom?

Here's what you do:

Live well, live wisely, live humbly. It's the way you live, not the way you talk, that counts.

Mean-spirited ambition isn't wisdom.

Boasting that you are wise isn't wisdom.

Twisting the truth to make yourselves sound wise isn't wisdom.

It's the furthest thing from wisdom—it's animal cunning, devilish conniving.

Whenever you're trying to look better than others or get the better of others, things fall apart and everyone ends up at the others' throats.

Good morning. :-)

To Be Loved is To Be Known

Woman at the Well

To Be Loved is To Be Known

written by Chris Kinsley and Drew Francis

I am a woman of no distinction.
Of little importance,
I'm a woman of no reputation to say which is bad.

You whisper as I pass by and cast judgment until glances.
Though you don't really take the time to look at me,
or even get to know me.

For to be known is to be loved.

To be loved is to be known,
otherwise what is the point of doing either one of them in the first place.

I want to be known.

I want someone to look at my face
and not just see two eyes, a nose, a mouth and two ears.

But to see all that I am and could be,
all my hopes loves and fears...

But that is too much to hope for,
to wish for or pray for...

So I don't,
Not anymore.

Now I keep to myself
By that, I mean the pain...

Pain that keeps me in my own private jail,
the pain that's brought me here at midday to this well.

To ask for a drink is no bigger quest,
but to ask it of me?

A man unclean,
ashamed,
used,
abused,
an outcast,
a failure,
a disappointment,
a sinner.

No drink passing from these hands to your lips
could ever be refreshing,
only condemning.
As I'm sure you condemn me now,
but you don't...

You are a man of no distinguish to the utmost importance,
a man with little reputation at least so far.
You whisper and tell me to my face
What all those glances have been about.

You take the time to really look at me,
I don't need to get to know me.
For to be known is to be loved,
and to be loved is to be known.

You know me,
you actually know me,
all of me and everything about me.

Every thought inside and hair on top of my head,
every hurt stored up,
every hope,
every dread.

From my past to my future,
all I am and could be,
you tell me everything,
you tell me about me.

And that what would be spoken by another would bring hate and condemnation.
Coming from you brings love, grace, mercy, hope and salvation.

I've heard of one to come who would save a wretch like me
and here in my presence you say I am he.

To be known is to be loved, and to be loved is to be known.

I just meet you, but I love you.
I don't know you, but I want to get to know you.

Let me run back to town
This is way too much for just me.

There are other brothers,
Sisters, lovers and haters,
The good and the bad
Sinners and saints
who should hear what you've told me,
who should see what you showed me,
who taste what you gave me,
who should feel how you forgave me.

For to be known is to be loved, and to be loved is to be known,
and they all need this too,
we all do need it for our own.

Personal Relationship

What does being a Christian mean to you ?

To some it is having the right doctrine – a matter that you believe,
To others it is having the correct ethic – a matter of doing good works.

To some it is a matter of doctrine
– to others it is a matter of duty,
To some it is fulfilling of both requirements – believing and doing.

Some emphasize that
Faith without Works is dead – so BELIEVE,
Others stress that Works without Faith is dead – so DO,

Faith and works are the opposite sides of the same coin,

Both are SO important and YET without a third Element – both are fruitless.
For Christianity has it’s own three-fold cord,
Christianity has its own glue, that cements both faith and works together..

Faith alone – is an impersonal, dead understanding of being a Christian,
Works alone – is also an impersonal, dead understanding of being a Christian,
Faith and works together – is an impersonal, dead, fruitless view…..

You see, being a Christian is a matter of relationship with a Person – the Lord Jesus Christ,
Unless faith and works have HIS Life in-breathed into them – they are of little worth.
Without a personal relationship with Christ – faith and works both rely on ME,
Without a PERSONAL relationship – you have IMPERSONAL view of Christianity

How to Avoid the Greatest Fall

How to Avoid Disqualification

From the greatest benefit, can inflict the greatest fall.

Privilege never guarantees success.

Privileges claim responsibility.
Never get privileges for granted.

Privileges must be seen and used in view of Church Goals and Priorities.

A privilege is never an end in itself.

When life becomes wrapped up in the privileges and the blessings of God, rather than in God, we miss the sheer joy of the end.

We cut into the empty pursuit of the details of life which will never give us happiness. This disqualifies us.
  1. Always be careful to observe all factors and possible consequences.
  2. Pay attention to our walk.
  3. Keep our eyes on the Lord.
  4. Use our blessings in Christ for godly living.
Doing these will enhance our ability to manage temptation and avoid unfitness.

Lessons from the History of Israel

Lessons from the History of Israel

These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come. (1 Corinthians 10:11)

The verb "ginomai" means “to come into being”. It means that they are not just simply but chance or accident. Israel's History is more than just a simple historical event.

It is amazing to know and discover that the History of Israel is recorded not just by accident but because Our Sovereign God had it recorded through the Scriptures because He had us in mind. Israel's History is divinely designed to speak to us, designed to influence our life positively for God and His purposes for us.

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:6-7)

The History of Israel had analogies and illustrations that encourages, instructs and warns.

The Scripture is God’s personal word to us, not just to encourage us or bless us, but also to help us become all that He designed us to be!
God designed us to be instruments for His glory!

Most of God's words are positive and encouraging, providing us providing comfort and hope.It is also designed to inspire us on ending attitudes and behaviors that are inconsistent to our New Life in Him.

Some lessons aim to provide us with instructive warnings because of our own sinful natures. The History of Israel illustrates things that what we should not be, as well as showed us  things that could happen to us should we take our blessings for granted and presume upon the Lord.

No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man. And God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:6-13)

Here are some of the Lessons that we can learn from Israel's History.

Things to Avoid:
Craving for Evil Things
Idolatry
Immoral actions
Trying God as some of them did
Complacency towards the Word of God
Grumbling
Giving much more importance on the Showy gifts
Externalism in Worship
Strong tendencies toward Self indulgence

So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! (1 Corinthians 10:12)

Evil Things

Israel craved for evil things.
Things became their master.

No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. (Matthew 6: 24)

Does your life express your love and gratitude to Jesus Christ having been saved by Him?
To be devoted, study the Bible regularly and make your daily Quiet Time an integral part of your life.

Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.

Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
(Psalm 62:1-2)

Do your actions reveal your commitment to the Lord?

Do you have a passionate desire to obey Him?

David, who is a man after God's own heart obeyed God in all His life. From being a shepherd to being a King, he was faithful in all things. He had set aside his own desires to obey what God has commanded.

Although He had faults, David's ultimate goal is to do what God has commanded.

If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. (John 14:15)

A humble heart and a servant's heart.

Do you have a humble heart?

Despite the cheers and the accolades of the crowd towards him, he remained humble, believing that everything  that he had accomplished, is of God and not of him,  remaining under King Saul's authority and waiting on God for everything.

Who am I, Sovereign Lord, and what is my family that You have brought me this far? (2 Samuel 7:18)

Do you have a Servant's Heart?

David's desire is to serve God, whether as a shepherd or as a King.
His actions reflected his humility and heart of a servant, longing to please God.

Does your life express your commitment to Jesus?

Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do. (1 Peter 1:13-15)

When our perspectives, belief systems, values, and priorities are wrong, we become like Israel who craved evil things.

Some of what Israel craved for were not evil in itself, but it became evil when they began to put it before God.

Your view or perspective of life and what you believe can either make you happy and secure or not.

Your perspective will always determine your values.
Your values in turn determine your goals.
And your goals determine your pursuits.

Your pursuits are that for which you thirst.

You either thirst for righteousness or crave for evil things.
This determines your behavior and the manner of your life.

Israel's history teaches us that we need to get our perspectives, values and priorities right.

Do you thirst for righteousness under God's control?
Or do you lust for evil things who is under the control of your sinful nature?

Perspectives

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. (Matthew 6:19-20)

Be Holy. Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. (1Peter 1:13)

Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.” (Luke 12:15)

For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. (Luke 12:23)

Values

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:21)

For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. (1 Peter 1:18-19)

Priorities

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33)

Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear.(1 Peter 1:17)

Evil things does not necessarily include evil in themselves.

Israel craved the past pleasures of Egypt as summarized in their cry,
“Give us meat to eat” (Numbers 11:4-34)

What are evil things?
  1. EVIL that is always evil and contrary to the will of God like idolatry and immorality.
  2. EVIL that is not evil in itself but becomes evil because of a disposition towards the thing desired.
Some may be legitimate in and of themselves like eating meat that has been sacrificed to idols. However, they may not be God’s will for you because of other principles that apply.
  • Will it cause someone to stumble?
  • It becomes evil when you become obsessed with it.
Desiring something other than what God has planned for you would lead you to drift away from God. When you begin to seek happiness in the details of your life rather than in God, When you value things more than God, your walk or the ministry God has for you, is a sign that you are already drifting away from God.

God knows what is best for you, and if you continue to crave something He may give it to you, the results are often bad.

So he gave them what they asked for, but sent a wasting disease among them.(Psalm 106:15)

Legitimate things become evil when they possess you and become the object of your devotion, your security, or your happiness rather than the Lord.

You will know that you are drifting away from God when you realize that you are beginning to seek happiness in the details of your life rather than in God, or when you value things more than God, your walk with Him 0r the ministry that He has for you.

HOW TO AVOID EVIL

1. Have the support of friends from the right environment.

Do not be deceived: Bad company corrupts good morals or character.(1 Corinthians 15:33)

2. Pray regarding temptation.

“lead us not into temptation” (Matthew 6:13)

3. Do not play with fire or you will get burned.
Avoid unnecessary temptation. Do not Test God.

You test God y unbelief, by despondency, by not trusting in His power and aid, by being careless, unguarded, by failing to take heed (1 Corinthians 10:12)

Do not put the Lord your God to the test as you did at Massah. (Deuteronomy 6:16)

“If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”
Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’ (Matthew 4:6-7)

Keep to a path far from her, do not go near the door of her house. (Proverbs 5:8)
