God already knows the things that we need before we even ask Him. (Matthew 6:8)
There is no need for us to pray to get answers from God, but to align with Him.
We would be certainly be disappointed if we pray only because we need answers.
There will be times that we would get answers which are not in the way we want.
Spiritual distress demonstrates our refusal to accept ourselves perfectly with our Lord in prayer.
God does not want us to prove that He answers prayers. He wants us to come towards Him as our gratitude for His grace.
