Now listen, Why do you say, “Today, at the latest, tomorrow, we’re off to such and such a city for the year. How much of your daily life do you live with love for God?
Whether we eat or drink, or whatever we do, we should do all to the glory of God - I Corinthians 10:31.
How much of your activities go through with any reverence to God?
Whatever we do, we should work well, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that we will receive from God the inheritance as our reward. We are serving the Lord Christ - 1 Colossians 3:23-24.According to the book Respectable sins, by Jerry Bridges, Ungodliness is the spawn of the other sins.
I am less likely to have a crummy attitude, complain or become irritated, if I do, everything that I do, for God's glory. I admit that there are times, that other than my life in church and my quiet time, I forget to think about God so much in between.
Our primary goal should be pleasing God in everything that we do.
And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God - Titus 2:12.
- Pray over each of our time that our thoughts, words, and actions will be appealing to God.
- Do all for the glory of God by desiring that all our activities of all our days should honor God before other people.
Take note: The only reason that we would want to be more godly is because God loves us. There is nothing that we could do to make God love us more. He loves us already while we are still sinners and ungodly.
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly - Romans 5:6.This should be our motivation to leave our ungodly lives - that Jesus died on the cross because of our sins.
Please help me pray that God give me godly wisdom and discernment in everything that I do and not do. So that everything will be pleasing and glorifying to Him.
