Endurance

But that does not mean we want to dominate you by telling you how to put your faith into practice. We want to work together with you so you will be full of joy, for it is by your own faith that you stand firm - 2 Corinthians 1:24.

Standing firm is not the way to be saved. It is the evidence that a person is really committed to Jesus.

Endurance is not the means to earn salvation. It is a by-product of a truly devoted life. It develops our of commitment to Jesus Christ.

In Matthew 10:22, Jesus predicted that his followers would be severely persecuted by those who hated what he stood for.

In the midst of terrible persecutions, however, they could have hope, knowing that salvation was theirs. Times of trial serve to sift true Christians from false or fair-weather Christians.

When you are pressured to give up and turn your back on Christ, don't do it. Remember the benefits of standing firm and continue to live for Christ.

Lord, direct my efforts, and crown them with success.

Roll your works upon the Lord. Commit and trust them wholly to Him. He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and so shall your plans be established and succeed. - Proverbs 16:3.AMP.

Recently, I have learned that when I commit my endeavors to God, He begins to work on my thought life.

Not only does He give me creative ideas that I never would have thought of on my own, but He also directs me in the paths of His will, which is where my blessings, rewards, and opportunities are.

Each time I approach a task,  I should always remember that there is my way of doing it, and there is God's way.

It is when I humbly and prayerfully give my tasks to God that He becomes responsible for seeing that it succeeds.

Going ahead on my own does not make Him obligated to direct my efforts, which causes my failure.
Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him to help you do it and He will. - Psalm 37:5.

TRUST HIM.

God wants me to approach everything that I do in faith. He wants me to give it to Him and believe with all my heart that He is going to help me with it.

I can't approach an undertaking with fear and doubt and expect to achieve the same results that I would if I tackled it in faith.
Without faith it's impossible to please God, and it's only faith that He rewards -Hebrews 11:6.
If I want to work to please God, I should get Him intimately involved with it, each and every time.
Bless all my skills, O Lord, and be pleased with the work of my hands - Deuteronomy 33:11.
Whatever skills I am using, I pray that my God will bless them and cause them to succeed for His glory.

God has a plan for my success in every endeavor that I undertake, and I can lay hold of that plan as I commit my work to Him, and trust Him to direct my efforts. Large or small, I'm committing all of my tasks to the Lord. How about you?
Daddy in Heaven I am so sorry, please forgive me for all of the times I've done my work mindlessly and thoughtlessly, leaving You out of the process entirely. Teach me how to approach my work in faith and confidence, instead of in fear and doubt. Thank you that as I put You first in everything I do, my efforts will be blessed, and You will be glorified. I love you.
