Could you believe that there are about one in five kids in Philippines who works as a laborer?

And over three million of them work in unsafe conditions?

The Batang Malaya: Child labour free Philippines Campaign Launch

During this campaign by National Child Labor Committee, headed by its Chairperson, who is also the Department of Labor and Employment Secretary, Rosalinda Baldoz, with National Statistics Office Administrator, and International Labour Organization Country Office Director of the Philippines Lawrence Jeff Johnson, the current situation of child labor in the Philippines was presented.

This Child Labor Free campaign of the National Child Labor Committee is hinged on the realization of the Philippine Program against Child Labor in pursuit of a child labor-free Philippines. A parade of over hundred former child laborers marched against child labor together with celebrities and advocates was held to mark the beginning of the Press Conference at the Fun Ranch Ortigas Avenue corner C5 Pasig City, across Tiendesitas and Frontera Verde on 26 June 2012, Tuesday at 6:00 a.m.
